Get West Adventure Cruises offers scheduled One Day Adventure Cruises aboard the MV Uchuck III. The MV Uchuck III can carry 70 tons of freight and up to 100 passengers on her scheduled day cruises. Enjoy cruising the waterways of northwest Vancouver Island including historic Nootka Sound, Esperanza Inlet and Kyuquot Sound. The stunning scenery of ‘Canada’s Fjords’, the abundant wildlife and witnessing the day-to-day operation of a working marine vessel makes these cruises enjoyable on many levels. Stops are made along the route to drop off supplies at fish farms, logging camps, resorts and remote villages. Most of these destinations have no road access.

Friendly Cove Day Cruise

Wednesdays and Saturdays
Cruise Nootka Sound to Friendly Cove (Yuquot), historic birthplace of British Columbia and ancestral home to the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nations people where European Traders made first contact. Visit the lighthouse and historic Catholic Church/Cultural Centre, hike the beaches and trails and learn about the significant native culture of the area.

Nootka Sound Day Cruise

Tuesdays • Year Round (With the exception of May)
Witness the day to day activities of a working coastal vessel as she picks up and drops off supplies at fish farms, logging camps and remote resorts in Nootka Sound. Knowledgeable, friendly staff will enhance your trip with their insights. As well, informative announcements along the routes are made at significant locations.

While the Nookta Sound Day Cruise runs all year round, there is an exception. For 3 weeks in the month of May each year, she is up out of the water at Point Hope Shipyard. Our West Coast Adventure is the chance to travel down there with her before the refit begins. Please call the office or email to find out about that cruise or when the Uchuck would be back to resume the normal schedule.

Kyuquot Overnight Adventure Cruise

2 Days • April 18/29, April 25/26 and June 6/7 through to October 10/11, 2024
This cruise gives passengers an opportunity to see a lot more of Vancouver Island’s Wild West Coast and a chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view of the spectacular coastal scenery and marine wildlife along the way. Cruise through Nootka Sound, Esperanza Inlet and Kyuquot Sound with an overnight stay in the remote village of Kyuquot.
